Wild Illusions

“Wild Illusions” Series of Hyperrealistic Drawings

Contemporary animal art exploring the theme of the whisper of paper and the permanence of the line

Since the beginning of the year, a new creative endeavor has taken root in my studio. It is made up of silence, slow movements, and a material as noble as it is fragile: paper.

In this series, I explore the blurred boundary between what is seen and what is perceived. It all begins with an ephemeral sculpture, a hand-crafted origami, which I stage under precise lighting to trace its slightest folds and most secret shadows.

From this encounter between form and light, the drawing is born.

Through graphite and carbon, I seek to recreate the illusion of volume and the texture of the paper to the point of confusing the eye. It is a game of perception where the most fragile material acquires, through the line, a form of permanence.

“Wild Illusions” is an invitation to slow down. To question the obvious in order to better contemplate the invisible.

The Wild Illusions catalog is now available 🌔
